This listing is for a highly detailed 1999 Citroen Saxo, presented as a competition-ready Group A Rally Car. Offered by a private client, it is located in Vigo, Spain. The chassis was subject to a full paint refresh during the recent comprehensive rebuild that ended this year.
The power unit is a 1.6 Group A specification engine, registering a total of 200 km of mileage. The build features a robust NFU engine block paired with a C2 VTS manifold and a Clio Sport throttle body. Performance enhancements include 206 S1600 injectors, a 63 mm exhaust manifold and full line, and a cylinder head that has been fully ported and chamber-matched. The rotating assembly utilizes PISTAL Racing Le-Ny pistons. The valvetrain incorporates mechanical tappets, Cat Cams 286 camshafts, and Cat Cams valve springs and retainers. Output is stated at 175 hp using 98-octane fuel. Engine control is managed by a DTA T2 ECU (latest version) featuring launch control, complemented by a complete new wiring loom and a Vicente Posada digital display.
The transmission system comprises a BE5 Sman gearbox that has been fully overhauled and registers only 30 km since rebuild. It features a Sman limited-slip differential and Citroën Sport driveshafts. Clutch engagement is handled by a Sachs ceramic clutch kit. The engine is mounted using Brozzi bell housing and Kit Car aluminum engine mounts. The rear axle has been overhauled and reinforced with a 22 mm anti-roll bar and aluminum bushings.
The body utilizes a Saxo VTS shell fitted with a Sparco Kit Car roll cage (chromed and documented). The suspension system consists of Proflex Group A 3-way adjustable suspension (front and rear), which has accrued only 30 km since rebuild. This is paired with Proflex uprights. Braking duties are handled by Alcon 208 R2 calipers with new Carbone Lorraine pads on the front, utilizing 288 mm front discs with aluminum hats. The rear features OEM calipers with Ferodo DS2500 pads. A complete hydraulic handbrake system is installed, including a brake bias adjuster and full braided lines.
The cockpit features extensive weight-saving and ergonomic components, including carbon-fiber door panels, a carbon-fiber dashboard, carbon-fiber footrest, and a reinforced aluminum gear lever (7075 T6). The car is equipped with Atech Extreme S2 bucket seats and OMP harnesses, both holding homologation validity until 2028. Communication is provided by a Stilo WRC intercom system. Safety is secured with an FIA-approved fire extinguishing system, and it runs on a new Odyssey PC680 Extreme battery.
The exterior features carbon-fiber mirrors and a carbon-fiber roof air intake. Lighting includes a Xenon light pod and LED corner lamps. The vehicle runs on Citroen Sport wheels and tyres.
